EDIT FOR EQUITY: RESOURCES
How-To Guide
This document provides step-by-step information to help you organise your own Edit for Equity event. The guide is based on our experience organising a series of Edit for Equity edit-a-thons in 2018 as part of the Suffrage 125 celebrations. You can read more about the founding event series here.
Visual Resources
These printable resources and Photoshop templates can be used to promote your Edit for Equity events. In this folder, you’ll find a poster, promo image, and banner image. These resources are available under a Creative Commons CC-BY license, so you can share and remix them as it suits you.
The List
This crowdsourced list is a collection of notable women and non-binary New Zealanders who are missing or underrepresented on Wikipedia. Anyone is welcome to add names to the list, or to add a note or strikethrough the entry once the person has been added to Wikipedia.
Additional Resources
Many other organisations have created useful resources to help you edit Wikipedia or organise edit-a-thons. Here are some of the resources we recommend:
The Wikipedia Adventure, a fun introduction to editing
Event metrics tool for calculating stats of Wikipedia updates made during an edit-a-thon
